Interior Design Media Maven: Kerrie Kelly
Kerrie Kelly is a media megastar.
Kerrie, a Sacramento, CA. – based designer who is a former premium coaching client of mine, has done an outstanding job of promoting herself in the broadcast and print media.
Her recent segment on KXTV News 10 in Sacramento is the latest in a string of TV appearances for Kerrie, the president of All-American Design & Furnishings.
The Terminators movies Have a look at that segment( http://www.news10.net/video/default.aspx?maven_playerId=immersiveplayer&maven_referralPlaylistId=1274333a64a5d7e45e434dd91191c8e94a1234b7&maven_referralObject=1101552424), and you’ll see how it showcases her passion about the green movement. That passion inspired her to design and sell her own line of furniture made from reclaimed woods.
“Eco chic” design options are covered extensively in her upcoming book, Home Decor: A Sunset Design Guide.
A news release promoting the book points out how she has been “notably visible in the home and retail design business.”
She developed that visibility by devoting lots of time and energy to submitting articles and news releases to publications.
She has written a monthlycolumn for the Sacramento Bee newspaper, and regularly submits articles and personal project photos to shelter and local magazines.

Add to that a large number of speaking engagements that have resulted, in part, from her role as a past president of her ASID chapter, and as a national spokesperson for ASID.
Kerrie learned early on the lesson that’s so very important to design professionals: high profile is a stepping stone to high profits.
