Good Morning and Welcome!
Can we talk?
Can we share ideas a few times a week on how to earn really increase your income as a design professional?
Can we talk about simple sales and marketing ideas that will help you earn the kind of income you want and deserve?
I’m so convinced we can that I’m introducing – today — the online “journal” that will make it all possible.
Welcome to InteriorDesignBusiness.net.
Welcome to the only blog devoted exclusively to helping interior designers, architects, window fashion professionals, kitchen and bath professionals, decorators, showrooms, manufacturers and other design professionals …
…do kickbutt marketing and sales.
About that “blog” word. Scary, isn’t it? Sounds like techno-speak.
Sounds like the kind of stuff geeks and propeller heads and 11 year old kids understand, but we, as design professionals, never will.
Not to worry.
A blog, or “web log,” is nothing more than an online journal that includes thoughts and ideas, in chronological order, on a specific topic.
In this case, the topic is you: your career, your business, your success.
InteriorDesignBusiness.net will include every idea I can come up with for you to be more profitable. It will include industry news and trends that will help you succeed. It will include any comments or ideas you care to share. It will include articles and opinions and articles from others.
Speaking, training and coaching keep me on the road a lot, but I intend to add a new posting every few days.
So come one, come all. Come often.
There’s plenty to talk about.

Welcome to the ‘blogosphere’! Great idea to create the InteriorDesignBusiness.net blog. I find all your advices in the newsletter very useful, but it lacked exactly that - the possibility to discuss. I am eager to see here the living experience ideas, opinions and discussions.
If anyone is interested in the interior design trends - come to my blog “Trendoffice”. I think that it can be useful to you.

Thanks for starting this blog. I think your target audience, window fashions professionals, needs more interaction. The market is changing rapidly and it helps us all to know the tricks to keep our current clients and find new ones.

Fred,
This BLOG has come at a great time. As my design business has evolved, I find I have questions that need answers and information to share, but rarely do I have opportunities to meet with other professionals on such matters.
Thanks for launching this effort. I look forward to checking in!

Thanks Fred for your wonderful ideas, including this blog site. Your help at a class you taught at Window Fashions Magazine’s International Window Coverings Expo was great. I appreciate your monthly newsletter also.

Your seminars are terrific! I also appreciate your news letters. As my company grows, they have both helped to keep me focused from time to time. I look forward to your blog. It’ll be a great opportunity to interact with other designers.
Great idea!

Your right about our self esteem being a reflection of our fees. Right now I would just like to have some clients that stick. How can I assure potential cllients that designers dont cost them more money.

Your blog is a great idea. Don’t forget the workrooms! I feel that we are the backbone of the interior design business, but find it hard to charge our clients what we are worth. It all comes down to money, doesn’t it?
